I have a YouTube and Facebook channel called OndaWire where I do all sorts of technical reviews. I buy and receive products and then test them for a few weeks and then (based on my experience with the product) share my pros and cons. Let's talk about this Kanex iAdapt 6-in-1 Multiport USB-C Adapter right away Pros: 1. You will be amazed by the performance of this small adapter. pushes out.2. The PLUG N PLAY Dock really is as simple as plugging it in and it WORKS! No drivers to install, no need to pull out a CD and download software, REALLY JUST PLUG IN, and BAM, you're good to go.3. I've tried $300-$400 docks and they can't do what I'm about to say here. I use a 2019 16" MacBook Pro for personal use and then a Dell laptop for work. Now that I'm working from home, I would have to unplug all cables from one device, and then the same ones, 2-3 times a day, every day Connecting cables to another device I don't have to do that anymore because this Kanex iAdapt 6 in 1 USB-C Multiport Adapter works for both!-C adapter and how easy it is to use THANK YOU SO MUCH! 4. This adapter is built to last and very well made. It's also small which is what I need. I travel by car or plane and I can just throw this adapter in my bag, so cute! It's my new favorite travel bud! that it's strong and durable. The 6.GB ethernet port gives me about 1GB which surprised me I've even added a picture showing it's slightly close to GB.Being an exaggeration but I think I'm so happy with this adapter, because my much more expensive docks me this business winds can not even give. I was amazed how fast this ethernet works with this adapter.7. This dock puts out up to 60w of power and as you can see in one of the pictures I've added, this adapter came (with my laptop's power cord plugged in). The picture shows my device charging.8. It has 2 USB 3.0 ports that allow up to 5GB of data transfer and a micro SD card reader and as I record and edit a lot of videos my MacBook is missing this slot which makes this adapter much more valuable to me on the way.9. The HDMI connection can transmit 4K at 30 Hz and again is easily interchangeable between devices10. Finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being HIGHEST, after about 4 hours of continuous use and switching between 2 devices of continuous use, this adapter achieved a temperature of about 6. Not bad for this little device. type especially with ethernet, hdmi that powers my two monitors, 1 usb port is used to charge my phone, the other is used for image editing and the power bank is connected to it to keep my laptop charged. Impressive! Cons: 1. Not really a major downside here, but I'd say for the $85 price point, I'd like the HDMI port to be at least 4K at 60Hz or even 120Hz. Also, for the price, I wish the 2 USB ports were at least 3.1. While 3.0 is still great, 3.1 is way faster and better.2. As always, I wish the USB-C connection cable was a bit longer. You can see from some of the photos I took that I have to hold my laptop very close to the monitor. I want these devices to be standard with at least 3 feet of cord. It's always better to have more cables than none at all. All I can say is that you will love this adapter, especially if, like me, you switch between devices on a daily basis. I give this Kanex iAdapt 6 in1 5 stars 100% and highly recommend it. This is definitely an adapter that will not disappoint.
