I've had a few battery chargers over the years, almost all much more expensive than this one. This is the least picky. In addition to simple charging, it has several useful modes. Other reviews have covered this so I won't continue. One thing I just discovered that I think is worth mentioning is that I was trying to charge a battery that appears to be self-discharging and the charger didn't recognize it. Although the charger doesn't show anything in that slot, I left it there overnight. To my surprise, the next morning he showed that he had charged this cell. Apparently, after charging, the jet current flows all the time, and this was enough to finally bring this battery back to life. I haven't had a chance to try this on other batteries, so I have no idea if it's a "feature" this time or just dumb luck. UPDATE: It's been a few years and I'm still very happy with this charger. . Absolutely no complaints, which I can't say about any other dozen chargers I've had over the years. It has more features and options than most people will ever need. And it just works. Fidelity has repeatedly confirmed the reference to reviving "discharged" batteries. I have often inserted batteries that were so deeply discharged that they could no longer be recognized when they were inserted. When you come back the next day, the battery will be fully charged. This saves a lot of batteries that would otherwise have to be thrown away.
