Prelude: First FPV drone but I've flown a few cheap $20 Walmart Micro Quads before. Here are my thoughts after about a month of ownership and probably over 40 packs used inside and out. I'll get the bad things out of the way first: Durability: Tinyhawk 2: I broke a few but it still works. Two LED strips are broken and missing. One of the antennas is broken, reducing range, but I can still fly up to 100 feet unhindered. One of the hex head screws holding the camera has been lost but came with a replacement. It's my fault that I didn't check all the propellers during the "pre-flight". Points: The fan now makes a loud noise, but it still works fine. The glasses made me realize that I needed glasses because even with the best settings for me, the text is a bit blurry. In BetaFlight I changed/uploaded the Clarity font and it helped a lot. I strongly recommend tweaking the OSD in BetaFlight. Transmitter: Within the first week the throttle controls on the transmitter became VERY choppy, I also recorded this in BetaFlight so I don't think it's a TinyHawk 2 and all other controls are very smooth. (yaw, pitch, roll). It affects my ability to fly accurately, especially indoors, but there is more room outdoors so I fly "halfway" a lot so I don't notice it. I have just ordered a Radiomaster TX16S as EMAX is not very responsive (see below). Customer service: Still practically non-existent. I opened a case with EMAX for a throttle body issue two weeks ago and got nothing. I renewed my ticket after the antenna broke 7 days ago. Those issues aside, I still enjoy this thing. Buy additional props immediately, especially if you want to fly outdoors. I bought 20 packs of AVAN props from Revain. Sometimes when you fall, they don't just fall. They fly away and I've found them more than 6 meters from where my drone crashed, but most of the time I don't find them. Buy extra batteries and a charger. I bought an extra 6-port 1S charger and seven more 1S batteries and one extra 2S battery and it's still not enough with 2-3 minutes of flight time and about an hour to charge the battery. I would say start in angle mode. just to get a feel for throttle response and how the ship is moving, but once you figure out which way it's going, switch to acro mode and never come back. you will break You'll be disappointed, but after a lot of packing, it'll fly just fine and it's MUCH MORE FUN. If you're a geek and a bore like me, have fun with BetaFlight; update firmware; find out what all the different things do; Adjust the OSD; Adjust the prices as you wish. and buy a sim to practice! Drone Racing League or Velocidrone are good along with some others.
