The device arrives well packaged. It has a beautiful design and a well-thought-out layout, and thanks to the accessories, the entire set can be used immediately. A heat gun is great for removing paint from small items and melting heat shrink tubing. I'm an aerospace engineer, so I do a lot of repairs and projects involving wiring and electrical equipment in my workshop. However. Soldering iron is terrible. I tested this by trying to make a simple solder joint from two stranded copper wires. I heated the iron, quickly dipped the tip in wire sponge cleaner a couple of times, and then tinned the tip with standard rosin flux. I heated the joint for about 10 minutes and the solder never got into the wires. It only melts when I touch the wire directly with an iron, as you should NOT be soldering. They use the core of the iron to heat the work piece sufficiently to melt the solder and pour it into the joint. I can't figure out what's wrong with it yet, but I'll post an update as soon as I know.
