Review on 🌊 Tidal 75 Gallon (300 Liters) SeaChem Fish Tank Filter with Sicce Pump by Rebecca Silinskaia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

THE WORST FILTER I EVER HAVE IN 20 YEARS!

I have had reservoirs for 30+ years, bought this filter a few years ago then left a mediocre review and I am still farting with this thing today in 2021. Parts (down tube and nozzle) splintered, fell off, the impeller keeps clogging, the engine stops, . Worst of all, the fittings don't mate with other rigid hoses in aquarium supplies. To try and remedy the situation, perhaps by adding an extension tube, . The filter fitting has the same outside diameter as any hose you wish to connect. What now? Can you find a safe rubber fitting to connect two pipes at your local hardware store? Also, don't expect gravel pack attachments to work. do not use other brands of fittings for connection. Now I think I need to buy another product, . I've kept this thing running for the past few years. My biological filtration died every time. I had to hose it down under the sink countless times to get the impeller loose. Clean the "slag" each time. I've had Oscars, Pacu, Dempis over the years I've had aquariums, from 10's to 125's, PLUS reef aquariums. I have NEVER had a filter that frustrated me like this piece of shit! I have been using Seachem, Prime, Start Right products for many years and have always had great results. but their filters in this price range just don't exist! Look in a can of Fluval and stay away from that cheap, ineffective crap that Seachem sells as effective. It's garbage!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • The list will be long.
