I am very satisfied with this filter. However, I encountered a few problems. Firstly, this model came with a heated iron. I liked this idea as its placement was perfect for my needs as I like to place the heater next to the water flow so it circulates through the tank. Since I have a generic 3D background, I can't use the suction cups that come with my heater for the background. Overall this is a great filter and probably the best HOB on the market with Aquaclear being closely related. Firstly it is only as good as the aquarist is good as it is designed to be filled with your chosen medium. The medium provided consists of bare bones, a mechanical base sponge and a bag of porous material for biological bacteria.
