Cheap socket and if you want to tow a large trailer with it, buy something solid
This trailer socket has a spring loaded flap that will not latch the plug as intended. The spring also digs into the body of this product, making the door difficult to open and close and sometimes jams. The internal connectors don't feel well plated or strong enough to hold the connector, and the door should latch the connector securely, which it doesn't. I tested it after installation and was so disappointed I removed it for safety before using it to tow a trailer.
