The back slot is a good place to leave your phone. I took off a star because my box broke. The drawer itself still slides out and stays in the compartment. However, there are two small plastic latches on the front of the drawer to keep it from sliding under the table. My tabs were broken upon arrival so the drawer just slides everywhere.
