I have used the OP/Tech strap as my primary camera strap for almost a decade. My trusty old blue, sun-bleached and worn from filming in unknown locations around the world. I recently gifted one of my cameras to a friend and decided to buy her a new OP/Tech strap rather than give her my old, battle-worn strap. I was so excited about the new one that I immediately ordered another one for myself. I'm still so attached to the original that I can't throw it away just yet, but the new one graces my D700 now. The original OP/Tech Pro strap used flexible plastic connectors on the camera. I was sure they would break, but they lasted ten years without any sign of wear. The new "Pro Loop" design is much smarter and will likely last a lifetime. With this strap, carrying heavy cameras like my old Nikon F4 or D3 is a pleasure, even when shooting in the wild in the daytime. The soft part of the strap can be removed and the free ends connected into a short handle, which is very handy when working on a tripod. And don't forget that it's part of the system. Extension cables are available if you wish to hang your camera on your back. Very smart design that should last you a very long time.
