This item is a 7 inch 1024x600 resolution Fake WaveShare Touch Display for the same price. Visit the WaveShare website and they will fix the fake issue. I found this out after purchasing the Elecrow and am now returning it. The Elecrow screen itself isn't much different or bad, but the problem lies with the touch sensor. There are no drivers for it. All they supply is a set of SD card images for the Raspberry Pi (on a CD). Finding a way to read this in 2016 was a thrill.), preconfigured to work with the screen. But these are old and outdated operating systems, and it's no good for you if you use this with anything other than Raspbian. After a lot of searching, I found driver files from the company that makes the touch component, but they aren't compatible with the latest update Raspbian (still with the newer version of most alternative images). Running this touchscreen is no longer possible with the n Pi OS modder. WaveShare, on the other hand, released version 2.1 of their PCB (the Elecrow board also says 2.1 but it's not the same) and made the touchscreen a standard HID compatible device. That means no drivers. If the operating system supports a mouse, it also supports a touch screen. Save yourself a lot of hassle and spend the same amount on the original version. Mine arrived today and worked straight away.
