Review on ๐Ÿšด SCHWALBE Marathon Supreme HS 382 Road Bike Tire - Touring, 700x35, Triple Nano Folding, Reflex by Jesus Baker

There is also a good protector. I recently swapped the front and rear.

I bought 700c x 35mm Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tires for my commuter bike. I bought it almost two years ago and have driven about 3,000 miles back and forth on city/suburb roads to and from work. Later, I opted for 700c x 40mm wider tires for a bit more comfort on bumpy roads. No punctures. There is also a good protector. I recently swapped front and rear tires because I noticed the rear tire was more worn. I was at my local bike shop recently and asked the chief mechanic to rate the profile and he said they were fine and had plenty of life left. For reference, I am an 80kg rider. I expect a lighter rider to have even less wear and tear. I reckon I can drive another 3,000 miles with it. These tires are significantly more expensive than most, but the combination of light weight and puncture resistance justifies the extra expense. If you're looking to save money, you'll have to sacrifice lightness or durability, or buy more planes -- free lunch doesn't exist. If I have to get to work on time, there is no way I want to worry about apartments. And since I ride almost every day, I should save a few hundred grams in weight. As far as mileage goes, I can't say I can compare tires. I switched from 700c x 32mm tires to 35mm tires for a little more comfort. I like wider tires for comfort and because I sometimes have to drive on grass/mud or bumpy roads, curbs, sidewalks, etc. I can't say I really notice anything about the tires when riding, other than that they stop great in wet conditions and overall I feel safe on the bike with these tires. I also like the reflective side panels for night time visibility.
