The helmet has a strong latex/rubber smell from the packaging. We left it on the air and now it's much better. Looks super cool! To be honest we bought it for a helmet so we were very happy that after a few days it started to smell nice. Increase the size! The large size fits my child who usually wears a medium size (7/8). The costume consists of one part plus a cape. No fancy shoe covers, retractable parts, or straps, but my kid actually found it a plus -- he tried this and that from Costco and found it easier and more comfortable. (Plus, this one has a full helmet, not just a mask.) Another unexpected plus is the zipper instead of Velcro on the back. The velcro tends to catch on the fabric of this type of suit if not fully fastened. The cape has a velcro closure but is easy to remove and attach separately from the suit. Hope that helps!
