Works exactly as described. This has worked well for me thanks to previous reviews and videos of its road performance. After 20 years I have learned that it is illegal to tape GPS to the windshield. Although I've been pulled over twice by cops in states where it's been made illegal, no one ever mentioned that its placement was an issue. I keep it as low left as I can put it. Advantages No installation. , just "flops" onto the dash Leaves no marks on the dash, I have no marks as stated in another statement Easy to install, weight enough to hold it in place, add a sticky bottom Perfect for Garmin LM series I can fold it and carry it between cars Excellent build quality I have it in the same place as the suction cup but now it's better on the dash than the suction cup in general as I don't have to worry about installing it and remove the suction cup and I can just put the GPS on the dashboard. Stable on the road, won't wobble, vibrate or fall. Cons: Bulkier than a suction cup. Less stiffness when pressing the touchscreen.
