Review on πŸ’₯ Cyberpower 1080 10-Outlet Surge Suppressor - 3600 Joules for Enhanced Protection and Discontinued by Manufacturer by Mark Loredo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good surge protection but issues with coax and outlets

Cyberpower 1080 form factor is good. The sockets are very nicely placed and the power switch is somewhat hidden, making it difficult to accidentally turn off the device. While I haven't looked at the circuit in detail, the internal wiring and components lead me to believe it will offer the claimed surge suppression. When I first got the unit it was almost impossible to insert the forks because the springs were so stiff. I almost had to use a hammer to knock them in. When plugged in a second time, it went in much easier, almost too easy. One wonders whether the sockets wear out quickly and the plugs will no longer hold up in the future. There is also no metal shielding around the cable line components. This can easily lead to signal degradation.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No power
