I injured my thumb and needed something more solid than a splint and bandage to stabilize the position until the soft tissue injury had healed. I measured my wrist and found myself in an overlap between sizes - went for the larger size but should have gone smaller. It held my thumb in a comfortable position and was easy to put on and take off. I took off a star because while it served its purpose of immobilizing my thumb, the metal supports that run along the wrists had no real padding and hurt the wrist bones. I ended up wrapping the denim around my wrist before putting it on which made a huge difference.
