I only use a CD alarm clock so I can't comment on the radio. It was easy for me to set the time and alarm. The display is easy to read and it plays the CD enough (not in stereo) to wake me up and continue my music while I get ready for the day. You can connect a mobile phone. Directions are clear and simple. I had the same CD alarm which I moved back to another bedroom when the CD volume started showing problems. I've had it for a long time and I use it every morning. It's still a good clock and can be used as a CD alarm clock if needed. He has not completely retired from service. This new one has improvements: better instructions, easier installation and the ability to connect a phone.
