This is perfect if you're looking for an unconventional top loading backpack. It is very well made with a material that is easy to wash and has a smooth appearance. One of my favorite features is the hook strap. One of the main straps is detachable so you can wrap it around a chair leg, table leg or whatever so it can't be easily stolen. I always tie my purse or backpack to shopping carts, chair legs, anything so nobody can steal it. The backpack holds a lot, but not a ridiculous volume. My son can't put his daily folders, books and school stuff in it (age school age), so we use it as daily bag when we go out. No side pockets for water bottles. There is a small zippered pocket for small items and a key hook. I think this backpack is perfect for file folders, laptops but not for someone who could use it as a personal bag. Loading from the top makes it difficult to get things that may have fallen on the floor, and you have to pull everything out to find it.
