UPDATE: Hydrolics didn't last long. He went down with me in December. Bought again in May. Very disappointed when the box says 550 lbs. I wish I could find one that can be manually adjusted by rotating the seat. I could swear this article says 450 pounds weight capacity. but to my surprise i made sure to get it and it weighs 550 pounds. I am a tall woman with arthritis in my knees and very bad back spasms so standing in the kitchen to cook, wash dishes and take medication is not possible so a stool on wheels helps a lot. Before that I bought 2 of 2 other people who used them and they didn't last very long. I'm 5ft 5in and this chair has a higher seat and softer than others so I don't have to raise the seat. The wheels glide smoothly across the floor too. I was also surprised when it arrived a few days early!
