The flip cover is convenient; it doesn't leak at all, so it's very reliable. Of course, the consistency of what I use may be the right consistency for that particular bottle. I mix about 80% aloe vera gel with 20% witch hazel, add a few drops of alcohol and a few drops of vitamin E oil, I also add about 20 drops of an essential oil blend consisting primarily of tea tree, thyme and lavender . I'm glad I found these bottles. Highly recommended.
