I have the exact same Cambro and lid combination that I bought at a restaurant supply store in Charlotte, NC over 12 years ago. As someone who has worked in restaurants for decades, I highly recommend this container as a quick and convenient way to store soups, fruit, cut vegetables, leftovers and anything that needs to be reheated to a high temperature. Restaurants use much larger versions of these for sauces, salads, meats, and general food storage. It's more of a consumer sized container, although I would now also like a 6 liter container for larger chili transfers. I love this 2 liter size and would buy an extra lid ($3 at Revain) as it's great for any bowl you're reheating soup in or other things that require you to keep the lid off during cooking to use heating. Don't hesitate - it's really solid.
