Wow, how beautiful; It has a "handmade" ceramic look and the cobalt blue color matches! In addition, the portion of the spoon is so large that it can hold 2-3 pieces of cutlery! The photo is correct but I think (like me) that you will still be overly satisfied with the most beautifully executed item and enjoy the FUNCTIONALITY! [I've wanted a much wider mount for years. My other ceramic utensil holder broke and could only hold 1 utensil - extra utensils, even the tasting spoon almost fell off which is totally against the purpose - and now I've got what I've been envisioning all these years.]
