First you need to connect the drive directly to your computer. It doesn't work with a USB hub. If configured accordingly, the reader recognizes several areas of your fingerprint. You must place and remove your finger multiple times for the reader to find the average. Once the reader is set up, it's pretty easy. There are two partitions on the disk, one public and the other private. The private area is only displayed when you place your reading finger on the reader. Otherwise only the shared folder will be displayed. I sometimes use the drive on my work computer at work and although I couldn't set it up on that computer due to administrative firewalls, when I installed the drive on my PC at home I was able to access the private partition and it opened fine on company computers . The fingerprint reader is pretty fast. After a few seconds, the personal folder will open.
