It's easy to use. No setup issues on my windows machine. Adding my confidential documents is very easy. You can use 10 fingerprints or a password to unlock your device. Of course, this is a great place to store passwords if you don't have a password manager. For some documents, like insurance certificates or other documents, it would be nice to have a USB-C drive to plug into the phone and see what's on the drive if needed. Unfortunately it isn't.

Pros
  • Keeping my Fists
Cons
  • Very expensive

Complete as advertised ### READ PRIVACY STATEMENT ###

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product as it was made of good metal and worked as advertised. The only problem is the privacy policy. I noticed that this is a product from China and the policy also states that any state or government agency can have access to any encrypted files in your volume. This may not be a problem for some, but personally I see this as a breach of trust on the part of the company and a potential threat to national security as there have been enough ofโ€ฆ

Works well with USB sticks

First you need to connect the drive directly to your computer. It doesn't work with a USB hub. If configured accordingly, the reader recognizes several areas of your fingerprint. You must place and remove your finger multiple times for the reader to find the average. Once the reader is set up, it's pretty easy. There are two partitions on the disk, one public and the other private. The private area is only displayed when you place your reading finger on the reader. Otherwise only the sharedโ€ฆ

Where are the good reviews coming from?

After successfully registering all your fingerprints.1. Don't try to plug it into a good USB3 extension cable or even the USB port of a hub or monitor and expect it to be recognized even if all the other devices you have there work. However, this reviewer was able to plug it directly into a computer's USB port. Expect potentially fatal wear and tear on your USB port over time as you press your fingers at different angles and especially with different forces to try to get the device to recognize

Pros
  • While everyone likes it
Cons
  • There are problems

Simple and effective design, easy to use

Just delivered yesterday. Very easy to use. If anything changes in the time I've owned it I'll update this review. Plug it into a USB port and a virtual CD drive will appear on your computer. Double click. This is for running the setup software. This software contains the tools to partition your drive to the desired size for a secure partition and an unencrypted standard partition. I didn't know he had such an opportunity, so I was pleasantly surprised. This means you can use it for everydayโ€ฆ

Good product, worth upgrading if not perfect

Easy to use and set up. The software is in the firmware, so it should always be there. After initial setup, a password or fingerprint is required to continue operation. Fingerprint is bullshit. I used to have a password protected drive. This works, but takes longer. The software only works on Windows, but once set up, the drive can be accessed with fingerprints on other computers, even Macs. A few fingers were tested that are not configured and have not granted them access. The only problemโ€ฆ

Fingerprint; Partition format independent (fat32, exFat, ntfs .)

I had an idea a few years ago when I was tired of typing long passwords. It would be ideal if we could define multiple protected drives. The CD drive (which contains the fingerprint setup application), public and private storage space are treated as separate drives and not as partitions. Speed is pretty good, although we're not buying this drive to get the best-performing drive. is there more information about technical encryption, be it software or hardware, such as B. OPAL compatible. Linuxโ€ฆ
