I don't play competitive FPS games, so I can't tell you how it performs in that area, but it's very bright right out of the box and the image is sharp. You can also play around with the color/image quality in the menu. Setup is easy, and to be honest, the monitor and base look beautiful. The base is slightly larger than the keyboard at 60% so it's a great space saver and is a neat little spot for a keyboard if you need space to type or whatever. Whether you're looking for a cheap but good monitor or just into gaming, this is a good monitor.
