I use mine on stair railings. It was loosened, originally attached with another type of anchor available at your local hardware store. I installed mine in drywall. They were so easy to install.1. Drill a 3/4 inch hole where you will need the anchor. Join the two plastic pieces together so they don't separate when you insert them into the hole.3. Align what you need, insert the screw and screw it all the way in. Just. FYI only use cavity walls, they won't work if there is a shelf directly behind the wall. I weigh 290 pounds and the railing stays tight and secure.
