Heavy Parental Help Needed for Younger Kids

My son who just turned three loves to make crafts. He enjoyed making these plate creatures as well. The biggest thing to note is that for a kid his age, you need to prep ahead of time or your kid will get really bored while you carefully punch out the pieces for the plate you're working on, then carefully add the little sticky square(s) to the back of each piece, and then peal the protective square off the back of each sticky square so the craft is ready to assemble. The pieces are too fiddly for most three year olds to be able to punch out of the paper themselves without ripping most of them and the sticky squares are very small and difficult for three-year-old dexterity. Also, while the squares are quite small, some of the pieces to the crafts are smaller, leaving parts of the white squares showing in places. My overall thoughts: if your kid loves crafts they will probably enjoy making these plates. The biggest thing to consider is if you or the adult involved want to spend the time it takes to do proper prep so the kid doesn't lose interest while they wait. A kid a few years older would probably be able to do the entire craft, prep included, on their own. Also note, these plates are small - the size of dessert paper plates, not full size dinner plates.
