I bought an AT&T CL84102 phone system for my girlfriend around October 2014 and added a warranty in case it didn't last long. It was working great until a garden hose broke, flooding the cordless tube with a powerful jet of water for about three minutes before she saw what happened. Of course, this will void the basic warranty, which doesn't cover accidental damage, so I was happy to find this phone. Then after I found it I almost didn't order it because several reviewers said that the CL80111 phone didn't sync properly with the phone. System CL84102. She decided to take a risk so I ordered this phone for her and it synced perfectly. it has just as good reception as the other phone in their huge courtyard. The only thing I don't like about it and took off a star for it is that while the audio is crystal clear, it's not as loud as their other phone so I don't turn on their speakerphone anymore when we're talking. Her daughter tried to turn up the volume on her phone to no avail. Maybe it's just us users who don't know what to do. So often, the issues raised in reviews are due to user error or ignorance rather than the symptoms of a faulty product. I don't have a phone to check in person. We are very glad she bought this phone EXCEPT: update 3/2/16, the phone volume is not loud enough and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to fix it. We checked the manual but nothing worked. At maximum volume, my girlfriend is hard to hear when using this handset. However, I seem to be the only person she speaks to who has this problem.
