Review on GTX 500 Black Roller Skates Ladies by Lild Zimmerly

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent price for inline skates and inline skates

Not bad skates for the price with some modifications - I would definitely recommend changing the wheels if you don't use these skates for derby. Wide standard wheels are not suitable for manoeuvrability/lateral movement. My agility improved when I changed the wheels to 85a hybrids. Stock bearings suck. If you're just starting out in skating, get comfortable with your skates first, then install better bearings (eg, rollerbones). With stock bearings, I couldn't get any of the wheels to spin freely no matter how loose or tight I adjusted the nuts. After updating the bearings, my wheels now spin freely with the correct nut suit. Smoother bearings make your skates go faster, so it's a good idea to balance the bearings before upgrading. Not sure if heeled skates would be a better choice than these low heeled skates to relearn. This makes you feel like you're falling backwards if you have too much heel weight and stand too straight. A boot with a heel gets you on your feet better. But good high boot skates cost about $100 more, so I'll wear these low tops until they wear out. I love that they don't have a break in period (unlike boot style skates). I'm a US women's size 7 with a narrow foot and the size 5 men's skates fit me perfectly. Tip: If you are new to skating or just starting out, bend your knees and stay low until you regain your balance and strength. And wear a helmet and elbow and wrist pads.
