Good skates for beginners

I bought these skates for my son who is still studying but he needed his own skates not skates to rent. They're affordable considering he'll outgrow them in a year or two. I was told to order a size up to allow some room to grow and they fit well. They scratch very easily in the toe area, so I'm deducting a star. He seems to have liked them since he first used them on the rink. These are very popular skates, especially among beginners and children. I would recommend them to beginners…

Order one size smaller for women. These skates are big!

I ordered men's 8/women's 9 because I wear a hard 9 in women's shoes: 8.5 is too short and 9.5 is too big. When I received these skates, they were clearly much larger. They're labeled male 8, but even in that I have about 2 inches of extra room. I could easily wear a men's 7. My feet are narrow and I think the width of the skates would be great. That being said, I've never worn skates except to try one on to make sure it's too big. be sure. I gave the skates 4 stars because they look good, were

Great quality and price for big kids

I haven't skated in at least 15 years. I've been debating whether or not to get a pair for at least a year and I'm so glad I made the decision. I wear US11 women's shoes and my feet are wide apart. I ordered them in men's 10/women's 11 and they are perfect. I don't wear thick socks, but there will be enough space for them, I'm not sure I'll wear them with thin fashion socks unless I put an insert to prevent slipping. I'm a big kid too, so if you're over 300lbs and worried about the quality…

Not suitable for duck feet!

Oh damn I'm sooooo disappointed! I looked everywhere for skates, in vain. I decided to give it a try, for beginners of course. I usually wear women 9-9.5, so men 8 or 8.5. All the advice I've read says if you're half a size too small. I ordered a (men's) size 8. I prefer men's shoes when it comes to activities or sports simply because the toe box is always larger and more comfortable. Not so with these! I would compare them to the fit of the Chucks. As soon as I unpacked them, I knew they were…

Decent price for inline skates and inline skates

Not bad skates for the price with some modifications - I would definitely recommend changing the wheels if you don't use these skates for derby. Wide standard wheels are not suitable for manoeuvrability/lateral movement. My agility improved when I changed the wheels to 85a hybrids. Stock bearings suck. If you're just starting out in skating, get comfortable with your skates first, then install better bearings (eg, rollerbones). With stock bearings, I couldn't get any of the wheels to spin…
