When I first turned on the camera and started shooting, I also noticed graininess in my shots. Then I started reading the instructions! What a great idea, isn't it? It has different "scenes" where you can choose what current situation you are in while taking a picture. When you press the scene button, you can select up to 18 different scenes to record. Choose from museums (no flash) and sporting events to candlelit parties and fireworks! You just have to choose what suits the situation you are in. You can also choose an auto scene where the camera will automatically select the scene you are in. That's a great camera! I like turning my photos into black and white and sepia and making little notes on them. You can also include messages with your photos! I love the large touch screen and the ability to edit photos right on the camera! Bottom line, once you know how to operate the camera you shouldn't have any problems and you'll probably enjoy it as much as I did!
