Nikon Coolpix S230 10MP Digital Camera With 3X Optical Zoom And 3 Inch Touch Panel LCD (Gloss Red) Review

This was bought as a gift for my daughter and she loves it! Ease of use, image clarity, and battery life are all positives. The only downside is that it uses a special battery instead of dual AAs. I definitely recommend this camera.

I wanted something small, light and pretty. This is smaller and lighter than the Canon SD870 I was planning to buy, it doesn't look like the Canon SD790 which has a lot of red eyes. I took some shots of my kids sleeping with no light, it came out great, better than the Canon SD790 shots. And it's so easy to use, all automatically. Cons: A cable is required to charge the battery.

After reading some terrible reviews I was skeptical to buy this camera at first. I ordered it anyway and it came very quickly (2 days). As soon as I got it, I put the battery in and started shooting. They were grainy! So I read the manual and enabled auto scene mode which will choose the best scene mode for your current image. Problem solved! I downloaded the photos to my computer and the photos are even clearer. I love this camera, I would say buy it!
