I got this camera in 2009 for Christmas. I really liked her. The photos were definitely better than my 3 year old Exilim. Then five months passed and I tried to turn it on but it kept saying "lens error". This is after taking very good precautions to keep the camera safe and not cause any damage ie dropping, bumping, storing in a protective case etc. I tried to repair myself and the lens carefully wiped with a cotton swab. worked again. Unfortunately, less than a month later I found myself in the same situation. However, this time it not only showed "Lens Error" but also a buzzing/beeping noise when inserting and extending the lens. This time, no matter what I tried to do, it just didn't work again. I don't want to spend hundreds to send it to Nikon and have it fixed when I can just buy a better camera for the same price. I am completely disgusted with this and that Nikon does not cover this under warranty due to "mishandling". user". I was sooooo careful but in the end I got scammed. No thanks Nikon!
