I wanted something small, light and pretty. This is smaller and lighter than the Canon SD870 I was planning to buy, it doesn't look like the Canon SD790 which has a lot of red eyes. I took some shots of my kids sleeping with no light, it came out great, better than the Canon SD790 shots. And it's so easy to use, all automatically. Cons: A cable is required to charge the battery.
