After 10 years I've finally upgraded my toothbrush. Out of curiosity, I bought a Sonic and one of the other leading brands, Oral-B. I prefer the Sonic for the following reasons: 1) it automatically shuts off after 2 minutes and gives you alerts for those 2 minutes 30 seconds to guide you through the brushing process; 2) I am one of those rare adults who still have all 4 of my wisdom teeth. The sonic brush is slightly tapered at the end, making it much easier than the O brand; 3) Sonic has a softer vibrating motion. This works best for me. O-Brand has a feature that will stop the brush if you press it too hard. This is a good feature if you tend to brush your teeth too hard. 4) Although the Sonic is a bit more expensive, I like the included travel case.
