Cheap plastic, hard to tell if they're on or not (I recommend buying a pair with a visible light on the earcup) This pair has a tiny light spot, the power button is not easily distinguishable from other buttons, so my daughter never turns it off when she is done with work and therefore always leaves it dead. I recommend buying a pair with a real switch. They also don't fold, which is pretty inconvenient for storage and basically makes them useless for travel. I regret the purchase and will likely make these headphones our replacement.
