Great device for my dog but does not fully replace obedience training

Recently got a new dog. We have 2 stray cats that have lived here for 4 years that we still wanted to "protect" and didn't want the dog jumping on the fence when people were walking by. We started by just letting the dog in our arms hear the beep. , then you will hear a vibration. Definitely caught his attention when NOT wearing it. We started using a horn to get his attention when he was home. Then in the yard. The first 2 days when he runs to the fence, a horn around his neck stops him in place. He only used the vibrate option twice when he tried to approach a street cat, but stopped and froze. I never used the electric option, but I put it on my arm to feel the "shock" level. Level 3 felt like someone just snapped my fingers, I stopped at level 6 with a very noticeable "Hey, what's that? But again, I have NEVER used the electric option on my dog. My dog still wears a collar in the yard but after 1 week is responding to my voice to return the review. When needed I would still beep him to remind him not to continue and he would stop. I've had luck with how my dog responds, but if someone has a dog with a HIGH concentration drive, HIGH energy drive, even with a collar, you need to do the training. This is a supportive learning device, NOT a device for getting the perfect pet. Pros: levels. Beep, Vibration, Shock (with beep). Illuminated display on the remote control to see at night. The range of the remote control reaches my entire 1 acre yard. Cons: No option to increase or decrease vibration. My vibration is not accompanied by a beep. The remote display is difficult to read outdoors in sunlight or cloudy weather, even if you need to adjust the shock level, it is difficult to see and may be at the wrong level when shipped.
