Here's the thing. Lamp and shade are EXCELLENT. The lightbulb is TERRIBLE. Why? Because it is a transparent bulb that emits a sharp bright light, almost like a work light. This is also too high a temperature (2700 Kelvin). I recommend buying this lamp and dropping the bulb and getting the RIGHT bulb. One with a slightly cooler temperature (2850 - 3000 Kelvin) and FROSTED! Not clear. Why the hell did they provide a clear bulb for the bedside lamp, I don't understand. So I'm deducting a star for that. Need a lamp recommendation? You should definitely get "GE Reveal LED A19 HD Light, 40W Dimmable". A box of 2 lamps is only $11. This bulb has a light output of 2850K and works great with the 3-way bulb function (although it doesn't say it's a 3-way bulb). I suspect that the fact that it's a dimmable bulb somehow makes it work. Each brightness level is evenly spaced from the next. Perfect! The light it emits is a perfectly diffused, soft, neutral light, not too yellow. The USB ports are great too and it charges my iPhone 8 Plus from 1% to 79% in just 35 minutes!
