3M engineers got it right again! I've added a photo of the disassembled stand to show how little space it takes up for travel. All of my other praises have been verified in the reviews and photos of others. The stand has been on my desk for over a year (2018) and holds my 13 inch laptop in place. I forgot - and that's the beauty of it (! :-) - but I'm finally writing a well-deserved review. takes up no extra space. The 2 parts are easy to disassemble (no tools required) and easy to pack for travel. When assembled - also easy - the stand is solid. Doesn't wobble or squeak. Doesn't get in the way, looks good when holding the laptop and even when empty Was nervous if the rubber pad would hold the laptop in place without slipping as there are no mechanical limitations (rim, edge, etc.) Yes, it holds up well! I have one flat workspace on my desk facing the wall. I installed a large monitor on the wall above the table. I then bought this item to hold my laptop and save the little space I have on my desk. Some of the best money I've ever spent.
