I don't know what this cable does to my computer, but as soon as I plug it in, the mouse pointer and keyboard stop working. As soon as I unplug the cable everything works fine again. This is the exact same charger I have always used and it has never caused any problems. I do not recommend using it for a computer. You may not have the same problem as me, but you may have the same problem as me and it's not worth the risk.
