Review on πŸ‘š Carefix Women's Clothing 3342: Post Op Compression Surgical Garment by Jeremy Lawrence

Post double mastectomy/preconstructive surgery, with tissue expanders = perfect for me

Purchased following a double mastectomy with prethoracic tissue expanders placed during surgery. I've been told I need some form of compression, but have had trouble finding zip-front sports bras without molded cups and/or underwires. This fit is optional and the design is similar to the post-op bra I got after a two-year lumpectomy. back BUT: 1. This fabric is much nicer. It's soft like a t-shirt but thicker.2. It has way more compression. Some say it's too small, but that doesn't fully describe its fit. The variant I had after the lumpectomy was large and very tight when I woke up from the surgery, but didn't fit at all a few weeks later when the swelling went down. After reading the reviews on here I decided to go two sizes up to account for the "runs small" issue and the fact that the dilators fill up and get very hard. Caveats = The straps were too long to start with, but that was to be expected as I went two sizes up when ordering. After this week's fill the straps are better and when the fills are done I assume they are tight and I can loosen them up by moving the velcro higher or lower in the front if needed. the bottom is comfortable and doesn't roll on me when worn but leaves a red bruise in the middle. It doesn't hurt and goes away within ten minutes. The nurse at my last filling was impressed with the fit and material. When I have applets, I just undo the velcro and pull the bra around my waist instead of unbuckling and then unbuckling - quicker and easier. The only other tip is to make sure you hook the front before attempting to zip up.
