Review on 🚲 MS25-6 Microshift MTB Bicycle Twist Grip Gear Shifters – 3X6 Speed, DIP Compatible with Shimano by Edwin White

It works, but not 100%.

I bought this derailleur to replace the Shimano Twist Grip derailleurs on an old 18 speed hybrid bike. The rubber pads on the original Shimano derailleurs deteriorated to the point where the knobs became slippery requiring the derailleurs to be replaced. While the Microshift shifters sit properly on the handlebars and have enough cable length for both shifters, my biggest complaints are the shift detents (especially for reverse). What I mean to say is that with the original shifters, each click always resulted in a gear change of one step, e.g. B. from 2nd to 3rd gear. With a Microshift switch, a click doesn't always result in a step. gear pitch. When shifting from 2nd gear, it is possible to shift from 3rd to 4th gear. I don't think my derailleur is misadjusted because shifting to 1st and 6th gears is always correct. Just steps from 2nd to 5th gear leads me to believe the detents in the derailleur are different than the stock derailleur. So the bottom line is that the switch works, but it doesn't work quite right. I would really like to see Microshift develop a derailleur with better detents.
