I can't believe it for Shifter

I've had a motorcycle since 1994 and the shifter started to deteriorate. They still worked but turned into slime. Anyway, I bought them instead of the more expensive ones to test them out. I've never installed anything like this before. I can't believe how easy it was. It worked straight away. I had to fine tune them just like everything else, but they work great. I was at a sporting goods store today and noticed these derailleurs on several well known bike brands. Excellent purchase.

Easy to install even if you have never ridden a bike

Very easy replacement of your existing twist grips. Just pay attention to how the cables are routed before removing the old ones. The cables are more than long enough that you may want to trim the excess length after installation. It would be nice if there was some sort of clamp at the ends to keep the ends of the cut wires from unraveling. I used crimp on butt connectors. Be sure to stock up on replacement grips as you will most likely have to cut off the old ones.

Front derailleur shifts poorly

Has only three positions for the left front derailleur. They will not align properly with 3 chainrings unless very careful. Despite this, depending on the position of the chain, as it moves between the teeth on the rear wheel, the chain will rub against the derailleur and cannot be easily adjusted while riding. Compared to its GripShift counterpart, this is a slightly cheaper product with a much lower quality. GripShift has 9 positions for the front derailleur, making it easy to swap between 3…

It works, but not 100%.

I bought this derailleur to replace the Shimano Twist Grip derailleurs on an old 18 speed hybrid bike. The rubber pads on the original Shimano derailleurs deteriorated to the point where the knobs became slippery requiring the derailleurs to be replaced. While the Microshift shifters sit properly on the handlebars and have enough cable length for both shifters, my biggest complaints are the shift detents (especially for reverse). What I mean to say is that with the original shifters, each click

Works well! (Edited)

Bought these for my old 2003 Huffy Howler (my current pandemic survival vehicle) to get it revved up and all gears restored. These work fine. The right front derailleur works well with a Falcon derailleur that has seen better days. Regardless, the switch brought the bike back to life. So far, so good. Just had to make random adjustments as switches and cords break well. This was to be expected. The left shifter works well, but sometimes it also needs adjustment as it sometimes doesn't want to…

Bought for 3 different bikes.

So far I've bought a 3x7 kit for a GT Palomar, a 3x8 kit for a GT friend (both bikes from the early 2000's with Shimano Tourney derailleur kits) and easy to install, the way the derailleurs work was better than the standard clutch shifters that bikes had. Can't recommend long term durability as they've only been installed for a few months. But right now I have no regrets. In this case. I pulled a Next Power Climber bike (a Dynacraft Walmart bike) that was hardly ridden by relatives from the…
