Review on DXG 567V 5.0MP HD Camcorder: High-Resolution LCD, 2x Zoom, Black by Russ Conrad

I bought this camcorder for my friend's birthday (May 2008). I liked it so much that I went and bought one. The picture quality is amazing for the price. I am very impressed. This is not a low light (no light) camera. You need moderate lighting to see the subject when shooting indoors or at night. Keep in mind that this is not a professional camcorder. If you are looking for a professional camcorder, this product is not for you. The audio is decent when your subject is speaking loudly at a distance or close to the mic (be careful not to block the mic with your finger when handheld). ) Robust construction and performance compared to similar products in this price range. The lens has no cover (like a cell phone camera). So make sure to store the camera in a carrying case when not in use to avoid scratching the lens. .The camcorder is very portable and easy to use. It has a minimal number of buttons and basic functions (power on, off, record, stop, play, volume, etc.). Yet again. This is NOT a professional camera. If image stabilization, sound and low light are important features that you MUST have, this camcorder is NOT for you. This is an amateur camcorder - I think it does the job and produces quality footage at an affordable price.
