This draft stopper is good quality and heavy enough, but the round shape prevents it from sitting tight against the door. I have a steel front door, so I added a couple of strips of magnetic tape & problem solved. I only had 1/2 inch tape so I added two rows of tape. If you use 1 inch tape it should hold with one strip. I cannot really speak to noise reduction as there is not much noise going on outside my front door. It does prevent the draft that was coming in from the bottom of the door. My door is 36” and it covers entire bottom nicely.
