I've listened to Beats, Panasonic, Sony, Sennheiser and VModa and I've been amazed that these $25 unbranded headphones sound better (to me at least) than anything in the 80 range to $200 range I've ever tried. They're very crisp and detailed, with a flat, crisp, pleasing frequency response curve that doesn't have the pronounced harsh mids (around 800Hz to 1.5kHz) that most headphones have. Low frequencies, the highest frequencies and everything in between are treated fully and fairly, and they can emit powerful 30Hz waves with no buzz or rattle. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is that they have room to grow in design; The cups don't have hinges so they sit snugly on the head, and while they look like on-ears, the packaging advertises them as on-ears, but most people think they're somewhere in between. As a result, the landing, while acceptable, is not as comfortable as we would like. So five stars for the sound quality, three stars for the design.
