Revainrating 3 out of 5

Better than most portable AV devices

I had a hard time finding something to just play MP3s. That's all. MP3 with touchscreen. However, it seems the technology should pack the features of the pack into a so-so performing device and wrap it up. After looking at many models and returning one, I settled on this one. So far very happy with the performance with some caveats. So my rating is based on 3 simple requirements: 1. Plays MP3 with normal artist list, song title and playlist capability.2. Touchscreen interface3. You can connect Bluetooth to the speaker for outdoor and beach use (so you need to be able to see the screen outdoors). Now this device includes the ability to store pictures, e-books, an alarm clock, and other things I don't use or need. Therefore I will not consider them. Being able to add songs to the interface is great. Connect to a PC, tablet, etc., drag and drop your sons into the player and you're done. Add or remove songs in the same way. So far, so good. First I dragged about 700 songs into the player, and then I wanted to rename and rearrange them. So I followed the procedure above. When I unplugged the USB cable and looked at the list, nothing changed. OK, so I deleted all the songs in the player so the file was empty and re-downloaded the songs with new titles and arrangements and BOOM! Let's go back to the original list. However, when I go to the folders function, all the renamed and reordered files are there and not in the original music icon. I'm still trying to figure it out. So let's get to the songs. I noticed that the player had a habit of playing about every tenth song twice. As if he didn't understand any of the built-in buttons that say the song is over, move on to the next. It was about 1 out of 10 songs. So, about the touch surface. Recognition of symbols and controls in the sun at about 3-. First, I recommend setting the brightness to maximum. Then you can wrap your hands around the device and see the icons and controls. I had no problem getting Bluetooth to recognize my speakers. However, again with restrictions. You have to reconnect Bluetooth every time you turn off the device. The selected Bluetooth device is not saved. This also means that you cannot save more than 1 device in the Bluetooth menu. 1 device, 1 connection. Overall this is an acceptable device and I will continue to use it. It has great battery life and plays good quality songs. Has a good Bluetooth range. Just be aware of its limitations. In terms of quality, hey, it's from China. You never know what you're gonna get.
