Mine is on my mountain bike. HMO mount on an aluminum extension from the trunk and I have a n0eq-5 velomobile. The construction seems solid enough. The whip isn’t particularly "bouncy,” which is good for a bike. You don't want a bouncing whip around the back of your head as you hop the trails. The "tilt" function is almost impossible without tools. I had to clamp it in a vise to get it far enough to fold it. From an RF point of view, it works like any other half-wave antenna. Some radio amateurs seem confused by this. Half wave is half wave half wave. No half-wave is superior to another half-wave. And EVERY 2m antenna also resonates at 440, so they are ALL dual band.
