A custom ombré wedding dress

I wanted to dye my dress purple pink and it worked great for the job. It seemed so expensive to look like an ombre wedding dress. I bought a dress at a thrift store, shortened it myself, and then dyed the skirt. I didn't color the lace overlay as previous photos of people doing it seemed to color it a lot. I stirred the hot pot on the stove and then put all the soil in. (I turned the petticoat inside out to keep it out of the pot.) It turned out just how I wanted it. If I wanted it even darker, I would just cook it longer. The longer it cooks before discarding the cloth, the pinker it will appear. It started dark purple. After taking it out, I tucked in the scraps of fabric I had previously removed from the dress (I cut off the train earlier) and they turned pink, just like on the packaging.
