Silver edges scratch very easily! I don't know what material the silver edges are made of? I think it would not be good for your health. I would NOT order these bowls again for this reason. As for reusing these bowls, for those of you who want to reuse these bowls, you can't reuse them. Once only. You cannot reuse them as silver frame scratches. Considering the cost of these bowls, I figured I'd at least wash them and reuse them "again" to save money and help the environment. No, I had to throw away/recycle all the used ones. NO REUSE!
