As other reviewers have said, an edge needs to be hinged or flexible so you can squeeze it tighter to better clean dishes. I love this concept but the bristles are too far apart to easily clean large plates. I wanted this for knives and chopsticks, but they're usually too thin to make contact with both sides of the cleaning brush at the same time, so it takes longer than necessary if I want to be thorough. It's very durable and easy to hold, and it's probably safer to clean your knives than using a rag, sponge, or brush with a handle.
